What Dr Mithun G does

Neurosurgery is the surgical side of brain, spine and nerve problems - and it works closely with neurology, which sees many of the same patients without an operation. Most people who come are not heading for surgery at all: a slipped disc or a trapped nerve is usually settled with time, physiotherapy and injections, and an operation is offered only when the pain is relentless or a nerve is genuinely at risk. The exceptions are the emergencies - a serious head injury or bleeding in the brain - where hours decide the outcome.

Qualifications, in plain words

M.B.B.SBachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - the primary medical degree, five and a half years including internship.
M.SMaster of Surgery - three years of postgraduate surgical training.

Do I have to pay to book?

No. Booking is free and there is no online payment. The ₹400 consultation fee is paid at the hospital desk on the day.
