What Dr V. Prashanth does
Two very different queues meet in this clinic. One is trauma - fractures, dislocations and sprains that arrived today and need an X-ray, a decision and a plaster or a theatre slot within the hour. Digital X-ray is in the building, so nobody is sent across town and back for a picture.
The other is wear: knees that ache on stairs, hips that hurt at night, shoulders that will not lift, backs that have been bad for years. Most of that is treated without an operation - the honest sequence is weight, activity, physiotherapy and injections first, and joint replacement only when those have genuinely been tried.
Where surgery is right, it is discussed as a trade: what the joint will do afterwards, how long the recovery really takes, and what the rehabilitation demands of you. Physiotherapy is in the same building, which is the difference between a plan and a leaflet.
